Creators, chefs, bartenders, publicans: this is your page too.
Tap & Pass publishes original work by the people in the trade: a bartender's spec, a chef's costing, a publican's account of a refit, a creator's video on where to eat. We pay nothing yet and say so plainly; we do give a byline, a profile, links to your own channels, and an audience that is exactly the industry you want to reach. Commercial collaborations are always disclosed.
What we take
Pieces (500–1,200 words)
A spec, a costing, a lesson learned, an argument about the trade. Sourced where it makes a claim; edited by us; your byline and your links.
Video and shorts
Vertical, under 90 seconds: a serve, a dish, a cellar tip, a room. Hosted in the community feed with your name and handle. You keep the rights; we get a licence to show it here.
Creator profiles
Food and drink creators working in Ireland: we write a profile from your public work, with your approval, linking to your channels. We never publish follower numbers we have not seen or quotes you did not give.
Interviews
Publicans, chefs, bartenders, suppliers. Thirty minutes by phone or in person, published as a Q&A you approve before it goes live.
Tips and corrections
A sale, an opening, a closure, a number we got wrong. Two sources before we run ownership or financial claims.
Photographs
We use no stock and no scraped images. If you have good photographs of your venue or work and the rights to them, we credit you on every use.
The rules
- Disclosure. Anything paid for by a brand or venue, by us or by you, is labelled. Undisclosed sponsorship is a reason to remove a piece.
- Accuracy. Prices, dates and names are checked before publication. Opinion is marked as opinion.
- Rights. You keep copyright in your words and images; you grant us a non-exclusive licence to publish them here and in our emails and social posts with credit.
- People. No photographs of identifiable staff or customers without their consent; nothing about a named person's private life.
- Corrections. We correct in the piece, with a dated note, and tell you first.
Pitch
One paragraph and a link to your work. We reply within three working days, yes or no.
