Eight rules. Short on purpose.
1. Be useful
Post what you'd want to read on a double shift: real questions, real answers, what worked, what didn't.
2. Be decent
Disagree with the idea, not the person. No abuse, slurs, threats or pile-ons. One warning, then you're out.
3. 18 and over
This is a trade community in a drinks industry. You must be 18 or over to join, and nothing posted may be aimed at under-18s.
4. No fake reviews
Don't post reviews of a venue you work for, own, or compete with without saying so. Awards visits are scored separately and never influenced by posts.
5. Pitch in the right room
Suppliers and vendors are welcome. Pitches go in the Suppliers group or a sponsored slot, not in replies to members' questions.
6. Respect staff and customers
No photos or names of customers or colleagues without their OK. No wage, tip or roster details that identify a person.
7. Keep it legal
Nothing defamatory, nothing that breaches a contract or the Data Protection Acts, nothing that encourages drink-driving or serving a drunk customer.
8. Report, don't retaliate
Every post and comment has a Report button. We read every report within 24 hours and act on the rules above.
